Time alters the shape of the memories had,
lingering dust remaining on the albums full of photographs,
and though the sky may no longer seem so blue,
to memories we cling as the mornings dew.
Although fluffy kittens and floating dragons no longer fly so high,
and although harsh words have been uttered,
and yes, even through all of the cursing and profanities,
well remember.
Well remember the blue skies, the racing day.
Well remember the good times, the sounding laughter.
for the faces of the comrades I still see,
for the twinkling eyes of our loved ones in glee,
for the memories of friends now gone forever,
Well remember.
